Huntington Kidz Klub Changes (Important!)

Posted by Emma Perkins on September 20, 2016 at 5:40 AM

Kidz Klub Huntington has moved!

After a long summer break, Kidz Klub Huntington is returning! There are a few important changes to make you aware of however, so please read on.

Our Huntington club will no longer be meeting in St Andrew’s church, but will instead meet over at the Living Word Church on Huntington Road (187 Huntington Road YO31 9BP). Please do be aware that if driving to pick up/drop off your child, there is a little less parking space than over at St Andrew’s, so plan accordingly (there is a spar across the road nearby with a possibility of parking there and walking over). This is an exciting move, giving us a little more space to work with as well as partering up with another local church in the area.

We acknowledge that for some of you who have been coming along to our Huntington club this might make getting your children along to the club a little more difficult. Therefore, In order to make the club as accessible as possible we are going to be running a free bus service that meets at St Andrew's church (YO32 9PX), leaving at 6.05pm and returning at 7.45pm. For those of you who live in and around the bell-farm area/boundary close/geldoff road, we will also be running a walking bus - details of which can be found on our facebook page 'Kidz Klub York'.

The timings for the club will now be 6.15pm until 7.30pm. The tuck shop will be open from 6.05pm - 6.15pm and then club will start promptly after. The idea behind this is to cut out the time spent waiting outside for club to start, and the time period of waiting for children to arrive from the bus or get settled into teams whilst still trying to juggle this alongside running the tuck shop.

With all of that out of the way, let me be the first to say how excited I am to start back again in Huntington in this fresh new term! We're hoping to see many new faces, as well as returning ones - and I'm super looking forward to sharing the action-packed programme that we have lined up. There's going to be plenty of fun and messy games, new songs to sing and engaging stories from the bible!

Our first club starts back next week! (the 28th of September) so make sure not to miss out! It would be great to see you there. If you have any questions or concerns with this new step then please do feel free to email me or ring the Kidz Klub mobile - details for both of these can be found in the 'contacts' section of the website.
